My approach to care:

Arpan A. Parikh, MD, MBA, FAPA is a double-board certified psychiatrist and Chief Clinical officer for Sol Mental Health. He attended The Ohio State University as a member of the 7-year BS/MD program, and graduated Summa Cum Laude with honors. He went on to earn his Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from The Ohio State University College of Medicine in 2013. Dr. Parikh matched into the adult psychiatry residency program at Mount Sinai-St. Luke’s/West Hospitals, and fostered his passion to teach during this time, earning the ‘Resident as Teacher’ award during his fourth year. Dr. Parikh also developed an interest in treating young adults and professionals, working as a junior attending at the Fordham University Counseling and Psychological Services center and as a consulting psychiatrist at the John Jay College Wellness Center.

Dr. Parikh formerly served as the Medical Director of the Addiction Institute at Mount Sinai-St. Luke’s Hospital and was appointed as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. During this time, he earned his MBA from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, where he developed interests in digital health and alternative payment models in behavioral health.

He previously led the behavioral health division for a national risk-bearing primary care group, and also co-led the mental health product for a digital health company. He also continues to be involved in teaching and supervising medical students, residents, and fellows (as a Clinical Assistant Professor of Psychiatry and the Behavioral Sciences at the Keck School of Medicine at the University of Southern California) in addition to his clinical work treating psychiatric and substance use disorders.
