My name is Kaitlyn Abreu, and I am a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) in New York State. My pronouns are she/her/hers, I am a multiply neurodivergent and Queer clinician who has experience working with individuals ages 6-56, all coming from varying backgrounds, identities, and reasons for seeking support through therapy. My therapeutic approach can be described as humanistic, client-centered, and eclectic, meaning that the interventions/modalities used in our sessions together are tailored specifically to you and your needs. Therapy is and should always be a collaborative process; whether you’re seeking support for specific symptom management, exploring aspects of identity, learning about communication styles and strategies, identifying what your “needs” might even be, or are seeking a consistent place for accountability to be heard and seen with compassion – it’s my job as your clinician to assist you in the process of self-exploration to identify next steps in your therapy journey.
