Skye Horner is a dedicated Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) in the state of Maryland, committed to providing a safe and supportive environment for clients to heal and grow. Skye earned her Master’s Degree from the University of Maryland School of Social Work, where she was a HRSA BHWISE fellow. In this role, she worked to integrate behavioral health into primary care and improve access to both behavioral and physical healthcare. With over a decade of clinical experience, Skye has worked with children, adolescents, young adults, and adults from diverse backgrounds.
Skye emphasizes the importance of the client-therapist relationship, and recognizes the unique needs of each client, adopting a patient centered, client-led approach to therapy. Skye meets her clients where they are with empathy, acceptance, and care helping people be their authentic selves. Skye draws from various therapeutic modalities, including Internal Family Systems (IFS), Somatic Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Mindfulness, Motivational Interviewing, and Narrative Therapy (NT).
